An Irish girl circa the 11th century, Ariana Aislinn
ran away from home at the age of twelve in order to
travel and practice the bardic arts. Her last name is
Irish for "dream"...quite likely a name she adopted
herself after leaving Ireland. She eventually settled
in Wales, where she spends much of her time in the
same monastery where she met Brother Al and his
household of Peace Haven. She spends most of her time
studying the bardic arts and practicing her skills in
textile crafts such as embroidery and sewing.

Alternatively, Ariana also has a Renaissance side to
her. After leaving home she fell in with the crew of
the privateer ship the Sweet Revenge, captained by
Lady Persephone. Sailing from their home port of
Elizabethan England, she and the other ladies and
lords of the ship participate in enjoyable activities
such as adventuring, singing, storytelling, and
occasionally plundering or treasure hunting.

This persona is a work in progress and is subject to
change! One thing that will remain the same, however,
is Ariana's fondness for children. In A.S. 39 she
became Pied Piper for the Barony of Adiantum and
intends to continue to promote children's activities
in the barony.

Mundanely, Amy Unfred is a substitute elementary
school teacher living in Springfield, Oregon with her
brother (known in the SCA as Radien the Redundant),
her mother, and two westies (the dog breed, not the
kingdom!). Please do not mistake the "I love Westies"
bumper sticker on her dragon to mean she is disloyal
to her kingdom of An Tir! It merely signifies her
weakness for cute white fuzzy terriers.
